InterWET consists of a set of web pages that
present the water resources issues of surface runoff, groundwater, sediment, in-stream nutrients, and fish
populations from the perspectives of a researcher, a conservationist, and a local official. Each web page
has a short lesson which uses an interactive calculator or interactive map. These lessons are meant to
increase the knowledge and understanding of the learner.
InterWET was designed as solely an educational tool. The calculators, maps, and monitoring data developed and used in InterWET are based on many assumptions and should not be used for local planning or policy. Actual planning and policy, however, may make use of the original source data sets, which are listed throughout InterWET. The web pages are arranged to focus on either the water resource issues or the different perspectives.
This web page is the starting point for InterWET. To go through the components in InterWET,
you use either a water resources sequence or a perspectives sequence. Both sequences will take you
through all the web pages.
This imagemap shows these two sequences and can take you directly to any page.
You can also use these navigating buttons to go through InterWET. For either the water
resources sequence or the perspectives sequence, use the proper button to get to the next
page in the sequence.
